Tips to stay healthy this season
Staying healthy
during the winter months is no easy feat. Here are a few helpful
hints to try to avoid getting sick.
1. Wash your hands – soap and water is your friend, but don’t
forget to moisturize or you’ll end up with dry skin. And if you
can’t get to a sink, carry a travel-size bottle of antibacterial
hand sanitizer.
2. Eat three balanced meals every day, and don’t forget
breakfast. We’ve all heard it before, but it’s true, breakfast
gives you energy to start your day and will also help to keep
you happy and healthy.
3. Drink lots of water – doctor’s recommend at least eight
glasses each day to help re-hydrate your body. You don’t have to
drink all eight glasses at once. Keep a glass at your desk or a
re-usable environmentally-friendly bottle in your bag and take
sips every once in a while.
4. Take a break – take a few moments each day to get up and
stretch your legs, or you can even do stretches at your desk.
This will help give you that extra boost your body needs and
make you more productive.
5. Vacation days are there to be used. Don’t lose your
hard-earned vacation days this year, take a few days off to
catch up on rest or run errands when it’s less busy during the
week.
